Review Speed

The Journal of Management and Planning Research (JMPR) is committed to providing authors with a fair, thorough, and timely review process. While timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript, our typical review and publication timeline is as follows:

1. Initial editorial check

After submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief to assess fit with the journal’s scope, basic completeness, originality, and readiness for peer review. This step is normally completed within one week of receipt.

2. Peer review

Manuscripts that pass the initial check are sent for single-blind peer review to at least two expert reviewers. JMPR aims to complete the peer review process—including receipt of reports and an editorial decision (accept, revise, or reject)—within 6 weeks.

If revisions are requested, the overall timeline may depend on how quickly authors submit a revised version and whether a further review round is required.

3. Publication (continuous publication model)

JMPR publishes one volume per year containing one issue under a continuous publication model. This means that once a manuscript is accepted and final proofs are approved, the article is published online as soon as it is ready, without waiting for a fixed issue release date. All articles published during the year are collected into the current annual volume and issue.

As a result, under normal conditions, JMPR enables rapid dissemination while maintaining rigorous peer review and high editorial standards.
